The Iowa Alliance in Home Care (IAHC) exists for the singular purpose of representing the interests of Iowa’s home health care agencies. Members have the opportunity to be involved in shaping the political landscape of home care, to participate in continuing education and to network with peers in the industry. Membership is available to a wide range of home health agencies including private, public and voluntary non-profit, proprietary, individually sponsored and both community and county-based agencies.
IAHC offers three membership opportunities:
- Provider membership is available for Medicare-certified home health agencies. Provider members receive a broad range of year-round membership benefits and have an equal vote with all other provider members on any Alliance business matters.
- Private duty membership is available for agencies that are not Medicare-certified. Private duty refers to home care agencies that provide services which are not medical in nature such as meal preparation, bill payment, transportation and medication management. IAHC private duty members receive the same annual membership benefits as provider members.
- Associate membership is available to any institution or organization interested in Iowa home care issues but does not meet IAHC requirements for health care provider or private duty membership. Associate members receive year-round visibility with IAHC provider members, which includes home health agencies, home infusion, home medical equipment, private duty, and personal care services
