With 18 years of experience in the monitored emergency response industry, GuardianIowa offers a unique, state-of-the art Personal Emergency Response System— InstantCare— for rapid response to your patient’s need for emergency care or medical questions.  At the touch of a button— on the InstantCare console or pendant— the patient can initiate a request for either medical emergency care or a request to talk with a board certified nurse about their medical condition.  It is during conversations with a nurse that warning signs are assessed or discovered and appropriate preventative measures are implemented.  For either emergency or nurse’s assistance calls, a responsible person in close proximity to the patient is notified after appropriate response is implemented, and a medical report is generated and sent to the patient’s home health agency or primary care provider.  Furthermore, the InstantCare nurse call line has proven to minimize the number of false EMT dispatches, help keep the patient at home longer and reduce the number of Medicare readmissions.
