Cheryl Hennings currently serves as the Home Health Administrator at To The Rescue. Over the last 20+ years in nursing, Cheryl has worked and gained experience through a variety of roles in Long-Term Care, a CCRC, in the hospital setting, and in Home Care since 2008. She serves as the IAHC East District Representative. Cheryl has been married for over 32 years to her husband, Todd, and over these years they have been enjoying farming, raising their four ambitious children, and taking great pleasure in the blessings of being grandparents

Joyce Lillis is a Registered Nurse with 34 years of experience. She graduated from the University of Iowa with her BSN in 1977 and from Drake University with her MSN in 1994. Joyce has been Director of Operations of Mercy Home Health Services – Des Moines since 1989. Joyce has been a member of IAHC since becoming director and has seen the organization develop and prosper over the years. She has served on various committees and is currently on the Advocacy Committee.  Joyce was on the steering committee that formed the Iowa Hospital Home Care Council (IHHCC) in 1990, an affiliate group of the Iowa Hospital Association. She just completed her second year as President and is currently serving as Past-President.

Krista Vanden Brink is currently the northeast district board representative for the Iowa Alliance in Home Care. She has worked in various venues of healthcare since graduating from Luther College with a BA in Nursing in 1993. She has been a staff nurse in a nursing home, in the hospital setting at St. Marys Hospital in Rochester, MN and worked as a nurse for a local DME company prior to joining Winneshiek County Public Health Nursing Service as a staff nurse in 1998. She has been blessed with 17 years of marriage to her husband Steve (a paramedic and ambulance manager at the local hospital and volunteer firefighter) and two teenage children.

Melissa joined Lakes Regional Healthcare (LRH) in 2013 as Director of Home Care and Hospice. Prior to her leadership role she was a staff nurse working in home care, hospice, and public health. Melissa received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from University of Iowa and her Masters in Nursing and Masters in Health Care Administration from the University of Phoenix. Melissa currently serves on the IAHC Board, the IAHC Advocacy Committee, leads the Home Care Professional Advisory Board at LRH, and is an active member in her District. She is also an active volunteer in her organization as well as her community.

Michele Weis is the Director of Community Health at Myrtue Medical Center.  Michele received her nursing degree from Iowa Western Community College and is currently pursuing her BSN at Nebraska Methodist College. As the Director of Community Health, she is in charge of  home health, hospice and public health. Michele is currently a member of the IAHC board and a member of the Education committee. Michele has been married to her husband Craig for the past 30 years and has 5 children.

Sue is currently Clinical Manager for Mercy Home Care in Sioux City. Prior to home care, she was working as Regional Director for Assisted Livings and Nursing Homes for private company. She has past experience working in acute care for a large hospital as well as small. Home Care is her favorite setting. Helping others grow and succeed is her commitment and greatest achievement. Faith and family are among her many blessings. Sue also enjoys music, reading and vacations.

Debbie Crawford is a registered nurse with 39 years of experience. She received her BSN from the University of Iowa in 1977 and her MSN from the U of I in 1997. Debbie has worked at the Waterloo Visiting Nursing Association for 31 years in a variety of roles including staff nurse, interim director and assistant director. Debbie is currently the executive director of the Waterloo Visiting Nursing Association. Previous work experience includes med-surgical nursing at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, cardiac step down unit at Allen Hospital and Director of Nursing at the Cedar Falls Lutheran Home. Debbie has two daughters and a step-son. Debbie enjoys traveling, gardening and swimming and is also the Garden Manager at the Garden of Eatin’ at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Waterloo.

Andrea Kent has worked with New Choices Home Health out of Bettendorf for 3 years. She started in 2012 as a per visit nurse and quickly moved into the Administrator position by July of 2012. Andrea has been a nurse since 2005 with experience in the hospital and clinic setting. Andrea has two children, both currently in college, one girl at St. Ambrose University in the Elementary Education Program and another at University of Dubuque following in her mother’s footsteps in the nursing program. Andrea looks forward to serving on the IAHC Board and continuing to expand her knowledge in the Home Health field.

Dr. Frederick began his health care career in 1983 serving in the Armed Forces for nearly 14 years in the Medical Corps. During this time he also became a LPN and worked in various settings. Dr. Frederick obtained his Bachelors of Science from Iowa State University in Psychology in 1997 and went on to obtain his Master and Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the Minnesota School of Professional Psychology and Argosy University. He returned to school and obtained his RN from Des Moines Area Community College in order to serve individuals in a greater capacity. He is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and has worked for many organizations serving adults, children and families. He has worked for several years in home care and is currently the Administrator for Optimae Home Health Services in Des Moines, Iowa serving eight counties in Central Iowa.

Sherri has worked in the Home Health/Hospice field for 31 years as director of Burgess Home Health and Hospice. She has been a registered nurse at Burgess Health Center for 38 years and has held leadership positions with the District A Homecare Director group, the Iowa Hospital Home Care Council and has served on the IAHC board in past years. Her passion is home health and hospice and has seen many changes over the years. Her constant focus is caring for the patients in their homes with compassion and is very proud of her staff for having the same values.

Renee's 26 years of nursing experience includes medical-surgical nursing, long term care nursing, assisted living facility and home health nursing. She has worked the past 16 years with Mercy Home Health Care in a variety of roles including staff nurse, assistant nurse manager and currently serves as the nurse manager. Renee has been married to her husband for 29 years and has been blessed with three children.

Bonnie has 25 years in the health care industry. She is Vice President and shareholder of NuCara Pharmacy and Home Medical. Bonnie works with  facilities, hospices, home care, physicians and hospitals. NuCara provides pharmacy services, infusion therapy and home medical equipment in 23 locations in Iowa, Minnesota, Illinois, North Dakota and Texas and assists in hospital to home, making sure the patient has all that is needed to stay in their home safety
